Keeping track of the tools seems like the easy part. Making it work financially for the owner and the customer seems much harder.

Garage rented out tools, you had to schedule lift/bay times. Permission to leave car there, if you werent finshed in one day.
Matter of fact he is still working as a govt contractor on a base in ND he was stationed at. I could ask him for more details if you wanted.

If there were places to rent garage space, lifts and tools, then they would have set prices (be they high or be they low).
If you're suggesting to rent out your own gear/shop, please just say so. If you're not suggesting that, can you please just suggest what you have in mind?
As I said in my earlier post, we're just getting started planning and pricing and have no preconcieved notions of what the usual setup and charge for something like this is. We're happy to have any options! (So far, we have none!).
Again, we'd likely be doing this over the winter at some point, and we're booth nooby enough that we'd probably need to leave the car for a couple days, up to a week straight, assuming the worst. The current plan is to add a turbo to a NA volvo. Should be fun. If any one has done this and has any insight, we're all ears.
Thanks for your help.

Though for a lot of items, especially hex drivers, it's ok for them to go missing because they generally need to be replaced somewhat often anyway.
