Default I'm not dreaming, and there is not a single pair of ruby red slippers that would fit these feet....

Really, there isn't anything to argue about here. I know what I'm talking about with the throttle adaptation. I have personally performed the "Ignition ON" throttle adaptation with two different B5's on numerous occasions, with absolutely NO problems with check engine lights or dtc's. It is very simple to do with these cars. Trust me on this, it really is.

Default Sorry pal, that's a myth long ago proven to be false

So you turn on the key and hear a few clicks, what makes you think anything is being adjusted ?

Mythbusters

Default You do need a Vag to do it properly, link inside

The 2.7T system in the A6 is the same as the S4 but has a different ECU, process is the same though.

Mythbuster for adaption

Default You are misinterpreting what is being explained there. When you UNPLUG the ecu from the engine...

...you CUT THE POWER to the ecu. This FORCES the throttle body to adapt. When the POWER to the ecu IS NOT cut is when you run into problems like you are referring to needing a Vag-Com to do the throttle adaptation.

It

is

just

that

simple!

Go to any chip tuner website you want and tell me where you see them mandate a Vag-Com throttle adaptation in their instructions for any chipped ecu they offer, then get back to me.

Default Prove it with Audi documentation and dinner is on me, mkay ?

So how did I "disrespect" you ? Because I don't agree and think you are wrong ?
What's up with that.
I thought all you guys were my pals ?
Show me one single piece of Audi documentation that backs up what you claim and dinner at the next gtg is on me, drinks also
I'm not interested in tuner's info only real Audi data.
