Looking for tire shop around Worcester or Framingham.
I need to purchase new winters, thinking about 17" M3's, had nokian wr last two winters but I was in VT. Looking for something a little more sportier/quieter. Any feelings on having tires road force balanced. T.I.A.!

I talked to the guys are DirectTire in Natick today
Looking for new tires for my Touareg. DT seemed knowledgeable, but dang are they pricey. I was quoted $45/wheel to mount new tires. Wintersport M2s run $222 each plus installation. Tire Rack charges only $152ea. DT does have a nice policy where they'll swap over your winters free of charge if you buy your tires there, but their tire prices are too high.
Tire Rack listed a place up in Maynard call 'funhondas' as a preferred installer in this area. Didn't get to talk to anyone there today, though, their prices look reasonable, and the reviews look good.

Hidden off rt.9 at Speen St, great guys, always hook you up for plugs/ rotations/ rebalance, etc..
they also pricematch Tire Rack, and only do tires- no other sales spiel.

NTB Sucks...they are hacks..Direct Tire is your best Bet
They will take good care of your wheels and are not that much more.
lifetime free mounting and balancing is included.
Ask for Doug or Kris(guy)...tell him that other S4 guy sent you
...he will take good care of you

Always a good experience and free wifi

It's really hard for a "Brick & Morter" operation to compete with a company like Tire Rack on prices.
Direct Tire will get pretty close if you factor in the shipping and hassle factor of dragging around 4 tires for install and having a local warranty does not suck.

Direct Tire is the best, but Tire Warehouse is the cheapest...
pick your poison.
I also recommend Martin Tire in Worc if you want to do support a local family owned biz (they're also a Tire Rack installer)...
