Moving to boston...

Not much help to you since you'll be at NESL, but there's good deals to be had near there reverse
commuting... being a reverse parker. A friend has a spot from 6pm to 8am in the garage near the new Whole Foods. She lives up in Beacon Hill and works out in the suburbs... so it works well. Sounds like you'll need a spot 24/7.
If you want to keep your car, get a spot.

I grew up skiing at Cannon, just north.. I'm moving to that area in about 6-7 weeks
On beacon hill. You'll like the area. I'm not sure about parking lots outside of the city but you may want to check with the MBTA. Perhaps Alewife station has some options. Are you becoming a resident of boston? You could get street parking and hunt for good spots(rare downtown)

having a car in boston sure is a learning experience. i always try to tell people to learn the ropes, but i guess its something you need to learn on your own
