Default I've already done that.

I'm somewhat familiar with the area. I went to Boston University for four years but while I was there I didn't drive much so I had no need to learn the surrounding areas.

Default Based on everything you've said so far, I would focus on Bedford, Burlington and Billerica.

Everything else is likely to be too dense, too expensive or too far away to suit both your tastes and your checbook.

Default Re: Kendall Sq. area

Live in Cambridge.. avoid wasting time commuting.

While it is a condo, at least the cars parked here are in the same class as the 993TT

another Esplanade site <click me>

Default Agree with the post below...also consider Quincy, Braintree, Stoughton, Dedham, and maybe Canton.

$400K is not a lot in the Boston area. These towns do not have the best schools, if that is important to you.

Default I agree. My cousin lives in Burlington and commutes to Kendell fairly easily.

Well, I've never heard her complain about the commute.

Paid about $425k for a 3BR, 2 Car garage condo last year.

Default Fitchburg...

*shudders*

I haven't checked house prices in a while, are places in Waltham, near the Brandeis stop, in his price range?
