Default Need advice.....involved in a hit and run yesterday morning

<center><img src="http://angnetworks.com/charles.jpg"></center><p>
See pic for details...

I got out to check the damage..and told the "older" driver to pull over, he said OK. So I keep on going straight towards the Fenway and he merged onto Boylston st....I couldn't pull a U turn there. so I went around and by the time I got back on Boylston no signs of the other driver...I do have his license plate.
What should I do? I want his insurance to pay for my rim...

Default IMO if you have his license plate he will not be able to hide. Call the police and explain...

...what happened. If you provide them with the license plate number + make/model/color of the car and maybe a brief description of the guy, they will be able to find him and he will be charged for running from the scene of the accident (don't know what the terminology is)

Good luck and keep us posted pls!

Default Sorry to hear Alex! I would first contact the police and report it or shoot tadhgbrosnan a email.

Then call your insurance company to report a hit and run. Give them all the info you can on the other driver and they'll go after him for damages, investigate, etc. You shouldn't be responsible for the deductible, though they may make you pay it first then reimburse you for it.

Any other damage besides the wheel?

Default Time is always your enemy.

"Some guy just crashed into my car and drove off."

will achieve a more prompt response than

"Yesterday some guy crashed into my car and drove off."

The longer you wait, the less you give the police to work with.
