Default Northshore MA body shop

Heya,

Somebody side swiped my car on Monday while I was inside a mall. I don't want to report it to my insurance because I'm going to end up paying the deductible anyway and I don't want this minor issue being reported. I don't want the value of the car to drop incase I can no longer afford the payments and have to sell it. :P

There appears to be a dent and some scratches. Pics posted below.

It's a 04 2.7T 6speed, black, just picked it up a month ago.

I was planning on having it detailed to get all the small scratches and rock chips removed, then have a clear put on for protection. But that wouldn't be for awhile... and i'm afraid if I wait that long then the new scratches will begin to rust. I'm looking for a local body shop that is open on a Saturday so I could drop it off and get a quote. Anyone have any recommendations?

Default There's a really good shop in Marblehead called "The Stingray Shop".

They do a lot with Corvettes and other high end cars.

Otherwise, I think it's "Dicks" in Sommerville that has a great rep.

could polish that out for you to make it look better, but if that's dented in, prolly a $1k repair.

That will not buff out. It's more expensive than you think.

I've yet to put any effort into washing it. Those pics are not long after it was hit... most of that should come off with a rinse.

I'm going to drop it off at a local shop tomorrow morning to get a quote. Depending on how bad it is, I may just have it touched up and fix the dent at a later time. I'll let you know...
