FWD has the same limitations in the snow as RWD, but it has none of the fun factor

Default not true, unless it is a porsche.

Motor weight over the driving axle ftw in traction situations. on ice fwd and rwd both fooked, but in snow where extra weight over the driving tires can gain traction compared to rwd car.

Default Compared to a pickup with an empty bed, yes.

That doesn't apply to a passenger car though, since its tires are sized to handle about a about 40% variation in static load rather than the 3-400% variation a pickup can be expected to see.
