Same kit / same deal today at AZone. $0.00 if you return it (or if it's a new kit, keep it!)

The $10 tool is for front calipers. He'd need the $40 version for the rear.

I got a red blow mould case similar to the one you linked to. The American / foreign version had a reversible disk (like that set) which had a close fit to the piston indents.

You'll need a decent tool which turns while pressing in.

Some simple pistons can be done with a "C" clamp. most "rear" Audi calipers need the push & turn type tool.

That was a generalization.

See links below for a how I did it idea.

I haven't done the A4 yet, but if its like the 200 or the newer A6 in parts, you'll need these:

200 style Caliper on guide pins see photo attached ON THE POST EARLIER:
You'll need a ~15mm wrench which is THINNER than most in tool sets. h

You can file one down or find a specialized brake 15mm to hold the inner nut.

I found "companion" tools at Sears (cheaper than craftsman) had a thinner forge and would fit.
Its when they get "tight", is when you'll have a clearance issue.

A6:

I needed a mirror to see in the end of the boot covering the guide pin. INSIDE was a HEX socket 5 or 6 MM?. Without the mirror and the socket BIT or allen key/wrench it was a no go.

HTH

Default Yeah, last week.

Friend needs new brakes and tires on his truck, and I needed to borrow Scott's broken bolt remover kit again for a snapped ex mani stud (I'll return this kit ;^)

Glad to see they're super busy. He just bought another plow truck, and can't stop talking about the Stang. Fun times. I keep trying to refer more business to them.

Default Yeah, me too. Against my recommendation, my Sister in law had them do $1200 worth of

work to her old 170,000 mile Hyundai Elantra in October....a BOAT LOAD of work.

2 weeks ago she buys a new Mazda3 Hatch. They took care of her, but it was still money wasted. Jamie even said as much, but she was adament at the time...
