Default Recommendation for Radar Detector. Not V1. Please read on.

If V1 made a remote unit, I'd probably buy it. I'm looking for a recommendation for a remote mount radar detector. Remote is required due to the double pane insulated glass on my A8. Would prefer something with front and rear detection. Any suggestions?

Default Guess I'll just keep letting those BMW's take the lead ;-)

There always seems to be a rabbit on 495 that wants to run past me. The upside to driving the A8 is that it doesn't usually attract a lot of attention. The downside is that it's waaaay too easy to hit triple digits quickly and keep climbing. Maybe I should just do a big brake upgrade to pull me back down faster!

Default Make a habit of closely following dump trucks full of gravel...

When your windshield breaks, have insurance replace it with normal glass, and get a V1.

Sorry, no experience with the remote mount units.

Default Problem is the rear glass is dual pane as well, so I'd

be paying for a V1 feature that I can't even use! Thanks though.

Default Is that double pane insulated glass an option on Audis?

I was at a GTG in CT recently and one of the guys had it on his side windows on an A6.

Never seen that before.
