<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/81730/2004a4.jpg"></center><p>I've had my A4 for almost 2 yrs and it's time for a face lift!
The motivation set in after looking at new rides while on vaca this past week.
With the price of new cars and the fact that the dealers want to steal my trade (I realize they have to make a buck but GEESH!) I've decided to keep the A4 and give it a face lift... beginning with the ride height.
Looks like I could use quite a bit of drop as my 17's look lost but I'm a bit confused as to which suspension kit to go with - any suggestions?
I'm also looking for a reputable dealer/individual in CT to do the work- any suggestions?
Thanks

there are a lot of different combos for both... shocks and springs are cheaper... and coilovers are more pricey... so depends on the amount you want to spend and the ride quality you want

After snooping around here I think coilovers would give me the best flexibility in that I am able to adjust the ride height to suit my taste, that said I am still in need of a reputable installer in CT.
I really need to make it to one of the GTG to get some ideas.
Thanks for the reply AudiSnawb

Coilovers are wonderful for the choices in ride height they offer. However, you must remember that everytime you change your ride height you will need an alignment (extra $90ish). I have had coilovers on my car for over 2 years now and i have not touched the ride height once as I feel i originally set a perfect height for me. Also, new england winters can wreck havoc on the threading system causing it to sieze sometimes. although this is fixable it can be a PIA. just remember that coilovers are good but can be frustrating as well if you want to adjust them often.

Good points envuks!
I happened across a pic of quattro driver's dolphin A4 and IMO is the perfect ride height, although he has 19" and I have 17" wheels.
I think he used the Eibach pro-kit.
So now I'm really confused!! :-(

I have been very happy with Mark at Automobile Associates in Avon. A lot of the Porsche crowd go there so it's always fun to see what's parked or in the garage.

Obviously different work, but very satisfied with both. I preferred Momentum Tuning for the suspension due to their focus on VW/Audi products. xx seems to be more Asian cars....
