yep air bag light doesnt meant anything, and you should pass, most shops wont bother with it!

Service guy should have told me that before charge $200 to diagnose....

Default I wouldn't say it does not mean anything.....just means they will pass your inspection if it is on.
It could mean any number of things including that your airbag control module is not functioning. Should be able to VAG it and ind out what code it is throwing though.

Chasing Audi USA to see if they will pay for Airbag Control Module. Cross fingers...
