Default Test drove C63 today

Would be fantastic driving car, if it had AWD. Couldn't put the power down, I believe it doesn't even have a limited slip. Interior has no features (no backup, parktronic, too much cheap looking plastic) and looks cheap, but the engine is amazing...fast.

Engine wasn't as rev happy and didn't sound as good as my V10.

Was happy to get back into S6 afterwards, but wish I had some more power...

Default What you describe would be caused by a light flywheel, not a heavy one

But, since the C63 uses a torque converter and therefore doesn't have a regular flywheel, the real reason for it is mostly likely that the C63 stays in gear when you let off while the S6 and RS4 don't. In addition to that, these cars all have electronic throttles, so just because you let off of the pedal doesn't mean the throttle actually closes. The ECUs also all have different maps which they switch to during engine braking, so there could be different tuning there.

The non-AMG C-class has parktronic available, so I'd assume that the C63 would as well. Of course, Mercedes keeps their AMG website intentionally devoid of useful information.

Default european car just did a comparo between the M3, C63 and RS4

Seems like the RS4 won the comparo. EC did mention the interior in the MB was lacking especially when compared to the RS4. They also said it need some wider tires.
Kinda funny that when i was traveling over the weekend i was reading about it and then you post a mini review.... definitely cool to see that your review kinda matched up

The '09s IIRC have a PP (performance package) option which includes a LSD among other goods.

FYI: heavy flywheel = revs drop slower. light flywheel = revs drop faster.

The fact that an LSD is not standard on an AMG with that much power is just stupid.

Default Starting with the B5, how many Audis can you name that have LSDs?

I count only the Haldex center differentials in the TT Quattro and R8.

It's a little bit less of an issue with Audi's low output engines, but the point still remains.
