Default WCVB Chronicle to air segment on Winter Driving...

The North Atlantic Audi Club is pleased to announce that on Feb 15th, the FIRST segment of WCVB's Chronicle program entitled "Surviving Winter" (Boston Channel 5, 7:30pm) will be about winter driving.

The NAAC organized shooting the segment at Team O'Neil back on Jan 28th where Tim O'Neil instructs Anthony Everett how to drive in winter conditions using the exerises and material the NAAC teaches in its Winter Schools.

The NAAC wants to thank Tim O'Neil for his time and the use of the facility as well as Audi Burlington for providing the A4 used in the shoot.

Set your TiVo to catch the episode!

Default The principles apply all year long...

Even if winter is nearly over, snow/ice still exist well into March where the principles Anthony learned still apply, and not just in winter, but all year long.

Hopefully this segment will get people interested in learning more about how to be better drivers and that the NAAC provides schools such as our Clinic on April 26th in a parking lot at NHMS where people can learn about understeer, oversteer and how to react in emergency situations.

Default From Chronicle's website...

Let's face it - it's a long slog from December to March. And you've still got a lot of winter left to survive. We can help, with advice on everything from cold weather safety to soothing that nagging cold. Tonight, Anthony Everett passes on winter driving tips he picked up in skid school. Shayna Seymour discovers the perfect cup of hot chocolate, blankets to warm the wintriest night, and a north country escape where no cell phones are allowed. Plus, we put popular cold remedies to the test, and go inside an ice lab at Dartmouth College.

http://www.thebostonchannel.com/chronicle/15247029/detail.html</a

Default yes very true

i just wish it was on in Dec because i got rear-ended 2 times in a row no more than 200 yards from each other, lol.
Driving school is a definite that I am going to be doing soon, because I know i will learn a lot from it. You can never know too much!

Note - that perfect cut of hot chocolate was made by that elf in 'The Santa Clause' that took him 1500 years to perfect! haha

Don't worry, we'll get the segment up onto youtube or somewhere (depending on Chronicle's use policy) so you can see it...

Default Re: Any idea when the photos from the NAAC WDS 1/26-27 will be posted?

I know people were taking photos, but as an instructor, I spent both days hopping in and outta cars. I had a camera in my car, but was too busy to shoot any photos!

I'll see what I can find, and make sure a link is posted...
