Man is it a blast. For those who have never been there to run their cars it is a ton of fun. People are very nice and you see a wide variety of cars. Saw some really fast Mustangs, but I must say the most impressive runs I saw were from a young guy in an Infiniti G35. Ran mid 14's very consistently and I think had one run in the 14.2's.
There is definately more to it than one would think. I had a chance to go seven times. I listed my best 1/4 mile run and then my best 60'.
Audi Dodge Ram Pick-up
R/T ... .912 .633
60' ... 2.389 2.416
330 ... 6.846 6.861
1/8 ... 10.495 10.578
MPH ... 67.25 66.60
1000 ... 13.622 13.737
1/4 ... 16.222 16.431
MPH ... 86.54 82.72
This was best trap speed and 1/4 mile time.
Best R/T ... .661
Best 60' ... 2.313
I have some work to do but it was fun.

Good advice. I was unsure as to how to launch with the clutch. Should I drop it hard? What RPM range should I be in and should I use more finesse with the clutch off the line. Dropping it hard tend to lead to a bit of a bog down off the line. It seems that the 60' is key to running a good time.

quickly. Don't go full throttle until the clutch is hooked (usually right away).
Good luck.
Good luck.
