Default whining noise (not wife) in engine compartment

I have a whining noise in my engine compartment. It changes with RPM. I replaced the alternator, unhooked the AC compressor and replaced the idler arm. Only other thing I can think of is the Turbocharger or the timing belt, but I had the timing belt replace about 40k ago. Anyone else have any suggestions? Could it be cheap gas? I am going to run this tank dry and put in some 94 + octane boost or Techron.

Wouldn't be suprised if it was the turbo, does it sound like a denist drill when you hit boost?

Default can you hear it at idle? I have something like that going on as well

I have no codes and the car seems to be running fine. It seems to be coming from the back of the motor and towards the drivers side. I had a bad fan clutch, but I don't think the sound is coming from the front.

Default Happens at Idle... Yes

I checked the fluid level of the PS Pump. It was low and I added some but the noise is still there. Mostly at Idle. I may replace the PS Pump but I am not too sure. If I turn the wheel the noise changes through the load on the engine.
Any other suggestions?

Default Boost is good

I can feel/hear the boost when it's up in rpm. I shouldn't hear much from the turbo at idle. It sounds like it is on the driver's side of the engine.

Default if you listen under the hood at idle where does it seem to come from?

I've been living with it until I have time to replace the fan clutch and go get a closer look. I'm out of ideas. I just live with it for now since it doesn't affect how the car drives and my car is loud anyways.

Default I may be the water pump. Anybody?

I believe it is related to the water pump but it is a loud (whining) noise. I am going to put a long screwdriver on it and see if I can hear it inside the water pump. It is driving me crazy not knowing what it is!!! World Impex has got a new pump for 65 bucks so I might replace it anyways. I don't like shot-gunning components on my car but I don't know what choice I got.
