Default Last I knew, some states had established "reciprocity" with one another...

so if you got a ticket in a state with MA reciprocity, you were hosed. I would guess that the New England states are all in cahoots and maybe some of the other northeastern states (e.g., NY, PA, NJ, etc.).

Default Not In this case....

Being an insurance agent the ticket should not show up on your mass insurance. when it comes to accidents and violations some states are whats called reciprocal. what this means is that they share their information with all other states. In order for 1 state to get the information both must be recipricol. Both MASS and NY are non recipricol so it should not show up on the insurace. the best advice is when a company asks if you have had any accidents or vios awlays say no. let them see if it comes up on their records. that way you wont be charged if it does not show up.

Default VT not reciprocal with anyone, IF YOU PAY

If you mail in the fine, they don't rteport it. If you contest a VT ticket and lose, they report it.

Nice revenue system, huh?

I'm actually grateful for it. I'd much rather just pay the fine (and have) than pay extra insurance for years.

One of my buddies got 3 tix on the way to Killington one night. He was bummed until i told him it ws just a $500 ride, no insrance boost.
