i need some friendly advice that i know i can find here. i got pulled over in a small town in massachusetts this weekend. as the speed limit went down through a town, the officer clocked me at 61 in a 40. he only wrote it for 50 though. i got lucky there.
now here are the options. i can pay the ticket and hope that it doesn't hit my connecticut record or insurance. anyone know if these transfer??? or i can fight it. the officer got my address wrong (connecticut does address changes on the rear of licenses and he didn't check). he also said my car was a sedan and it's wagon.
any advice?? my instincts are the just pay it.

I earned 2 shiny 25+ speeding tickets in 3 days while visiting Maine in 1999. They were picked up immediately by my insurance co.(Dairyland). Mass. is probably even more likely to transfer the info. b/c they're closer and typically more advanced.
I suggest you send it in Not Guilty on EVERY ticket b/c if they don't automatically dismiss the minimal 10mph, they'll at least offer a reduced fine at court to keep you from going to next level.
Good luck, bud.

on average and absolutely none ever appear on my driving record. I assume it's only when you don't pay and then that said state revokes your right to drive in that state ~~~~then they are likely to inform the registry in your state. FWIW-ticketed in N.Y,CT,MD,RI,NH,FL,OK,SC (had to pay immediately then).

Damn. I just sent in a NH ticket I got... 82 in a 65. Didn't pay; I'm fighting. If it doesn't go on my record I should have paid. Only $130 or something. In MA it would have been $372183721738721317381.

mass does give uot revenue tickets. it clearly states on these that no points/reports will result if you plead guilty and pay. if it doesn't say this, points and report wil follow conviction.

Don't know what to tell you-but if you call the rmv you can ask them and they'll tell you their procedures with out of state.
