Oubi

My A6 suddenly developed a problem overnight. I parked in the garage in the evening. There was no problem. Put the car in park. Next morning it does not want to start. Could not get the key out of the ignition. Put in Neutral, and then it started. It was like it did not recognize being in Park.

Then pull away. It shows all the the gears from Drive to Sport, but it does not show the selected gear from 1 to 6. It is like it does not recognize in what gear it is.

Anybody can tell me what the problem could be? Could it be the Gear Selector sensor under the gear lever, or could it be the Gearbox Controller in the Gearbox?

Any take on what the problem could be?
