Hey all. Just leased a 2015 A3 Cab. The 1.8, pretty bare bones - only cold weather and Driver's Assistance. Really wanted Advanced Key, as I haven't stuck a key into an ignition and turned it for a long time. But to get the price I wanted, I decided I could live without the push button start/keyless entry for 30 months.
I sold a 2006 Lexus IS 250 and replaced it with the Audi. My second car is a 2013 BMW X1. In my profile pic, if visible, you can see the X1 parked alongside me (and me in a BMW cap!).
I was concerned that the 1.8 would feel underpowered, but not at all, for me. The 2.0 must be a monster in this small package. Even without any Sport suspension, etc., I find the body control and steering just right.
Now, many many years ago I had a very distant cousin of this A3 - the 1982 Rabbit Cabriolet. Which I think had a lawnmower engine and the body integrity of a free bank toaster. Which is why I decided to lease my first Audi. We'll see how it goes! If at the end of 30 months I'm still loving it and it's been pretty much problem free, I won't buy it, necessarily, but I may turn it and move up to A5.
Shout out to Matt, internet sales at Pacific Audi. Thanks man!
