Default Audi Stevens Creek Service Woes

I bought a $500 Audi maintenance package with my 2007 A8 Sport. I figured, what the hell, I want the car 100% dealer serviced to avoid any hassles. Big mistake...

I recently took the car in for scheduled 15k service and to finally have a front license plate and frame added. Now, I would have mounted a license plate a long time ago in the blank spot in the front, but it seemed to me that mounting hardware must be missing because there was no place to anchor the plate...

When the car was returned:

1) It was filthy with grease on the windshield.

2) The nav screen no longer closes all the way.

3) I hear a loud compressor or pump noise from under the hood about 1 - 2 minutes after engine start.

And the kicker...

4) My front license plate was mounted by DRILLING NEW HOLES in the bumper with self-tapping screws. This may be Audi spec, or it may be mechanic laziness, but either way it is RETARDED.

What a joke for an $85k car.

I think there is a separate part # for the front license plate mount that fits in the area of the filler panel. No, drilling holes in the filler panel is not Audi-spec. That one would warrant a complaint with AoA or a call to Roger Penske, IMHO.

I think the A8 has air suspension, could that be the compressor noise?

Good luck with resolving your problems.

Default Sorry to see, lodge a complaint to AoA and see what happens...

Best to avoid Stevens Creek, many of us had issues with them unfortunately...

Rector is the one of the best in the Bay area...

Default filing a complaint with aoa does nothing... they stand behind their dealerships

and don't even want to hear out the customer.

instead of aoa, take it up with the owner.

stevens creek audi has screwed me before as well... so they can go **** themselves.

Default How I see it, if one does not complain then AoA will never know...

Even if they fail to do anything about it, then so be it-then they will lose a customer from the brand, not just the dealership...
