Default We've had Britax

and the kids have loved them and they're safe. In fact I have 6 of them in the garage collecting dust as the girls (all 3) are grown out of them. If you want to buy one or two cheap let me know. One model is the Husky (think safety La Z Boy with a 5 point harness) and the other is narrower but with lots of head protection.

Britax are safe. Don't know about the Recaro's.

Default This link is very helpful...

and from the ratings we narrowed it down to three models:

Recaro Young Sport, Britax Boulevard & Safety 1st Alpha Sport.

Wife and I thank you for the informative link. We bookmarked it.

Default Yeah, Recaro Young Sport is one of my top choices...

along w/ Britax and Safety 1st. I'm familiar w/ Terry and his shop. I'll compare prices from his store vs. eBay. Thanks.

Default Yeah, the Britax Blvd. is one of the models I'm looking at...

along w/ Recaro and Safety 1st. Wifey and I LOL when you said you squeezed it in the TT. Thanks for the recommendation.

Default I understand your concern, we bought our Peg Perego used on CL...

but it was in excellent condition and very clean, so we took a chance and paid about half price on it. The next one we're buying (fwd facing w/ booster seat) will probably be new...although if a used one comes along in great condition and no recalls, I may consider it. Thanks for the advice.

Default I'm interested in the used ones you have, but need more info and pics...

I couldn't find the Husky model until I found out it was renamed Britax Regent...which got 'straight A' ratings on Miguels' link.

Let me know what the other models and if you could post them here or email me (mcbaes72@yahoo.com) along w/ pics, I'll let you know if we're interested in buying one or two. The rest you have, maybe consider selling on Craigslist? Just a thought. Thanks.

Default plastic shell and strap fatigue if involved in a wreck

And you really just don't know unless it comes new in a box.

I have four britax roundabouts now, and they're the 2nd set of four I've bought. Very happy with them. Fitment in our Audi's is good, with the LATCH system. Models post 2001 already have them, you need to have a dealer install them for no charge.

Default 2 Britax Marithons here. love them.

They use the Latch system and have anchoring for the back (anchoring doesn't work if rear-facing though). They seem to fit the kids well.

One of the attorneys across the hall from me was involved in a large child seat litigation a couple years back. according to his experts, Britax have the safest seats.
