Default Can anyone recommend an excellent wheel repair shop in the Penninsula?

Need to fix a flat spot on one of the HRE's - the cross country drive obviously took its toll.

Default Last time I used them they lost my wheel for 4 days

Taking pricing and customer service into consideration..I can't really recommend them these days. Yes, Jeff @ Wheel Techniques did repair the bend in one of my BBS CH wheels for free (just banging it with a lead hammer for 2 minutes)..but when he wanted $450 to repair and paint that same wheel, I said "I'll pass on that".

I use Wheels America in Union City now (http://www.fixrim.com).

Default Try Wheel Magic, Inc.

Contact Chris Earls at (209) 631-6733. It's a central valley phone number but his business card says "Sunnyvale". I used him for minor wheel repair and was very satisfied. He'll even come to you.

Default I would go to Wheels America in Union City

They do great work...overnight, about $120 with mount and balance.

I've had several sets with them.

Otherwise, Riteway Wheels in Walnut Creek is "same day" service if you come in early AM. Jose, the owner, IS AWESOME! Tell him Angelo from San Mateo County sent you.

Jose is about the same results as Wheels America for curb rash and gouges but at $60 a wheel vs. $120. I haven't really had him work on any bends however.

HTH

BTW Wheeltechniques are extremely expensive, wanted to charge $170 just for slight bend on a 19" wheel PLUS another $110 for refinishing...I think their reputation has gone to their heads.
