heh yup yup . . . that's my routine road test route . . . on Sandhill N, exit Edgewood . . .
hit Canada, pass Filoli, check to see if the yellow paint 1/4 mile markers are still there, pass Pulgas Water Temple, return 280 S to Woodside or Sandhill . . .

Going southbound on 280, he's always just past the crossover/underpass.
Uses the upright supports of the crossover to 92E to hide and sits on the shoulder between oncoming 280 traffic and the onramp. If you're coming from 92W, you'd basically be right beside him as you enter.
Often radios other Smokeys down the freeway rather than chase after cars himself, so don't think you're in the clear just because you've passed him.

There were 2 of them. 92 west to 280 south blast just passes them from what I saw. That is exactly what I was doing when I saw them. Coming out of the tunnel from 92 W to 280 S, they were on the left of the merge targeting cars on 280s before the merge entered 280. 2 chp guys, 2 cars hidden from sb 280 traffic standing behind the "call box post" with the laser gun pointed at 280s traffic. Entering 280s there you were past the trap, but could see it on your left.
