Strong opinions about any of these guys?
Juan / Tints R Us, uses ClearShield, said around $450 (though that's an estimate, guessing higher)
Transparent Bra, uses VentureShield, around $625
ClearArmor in San Carlos, not sure what film they use, but the $995 price tag drove me away

I've found it to be very expensive in the bay area for getting a installer.
I got my new MX-5 done for around $800, and the guy was not so good, he even scratched the car during the install and still did not get the job done right...did he care, nope...
I'd do it differently again...Do not use Michael Rascon from Pro-Finish...

I bought the kit years ago for $75 which included the mirrors and hood. It wasn't that hard to apply.
Now if the quoted prices you have include the bottom grill area, I think $600 is ok. Buying the kit is ~$300.

Wow, I had the exact same problem with that guy 2 years ago. Can't believe he's still up to his old tricks.

I got my other car done at Premier in Fremont. They were very good. If you are interested, I can probably get you a good price.

link

Just to let you know I contacted X-pel where he was getting his materials then. When they saw my pictures they were pissed and offered to have my job redone. I took it to B&S Hacienda and they did a great job. By the way I went as far as to make a complaint with the better business and all I can say is what a joke they are about trying to protect the consumer. So raise hell with X-pel and maybe you can get compensated as well. Good luck

Thanks for the feedback, I wonder who should I contact. I believe that he used 3M material, but I cannot find any contact details on the 3M website.
