Which dealer? - specific problem

The front left speaker on my 2004 S4 is intermittently cutting out. Stevens Creek (where I bought my car) could not fix it. Carlsen also could not fix it (after 4 visits). They have removed excess grease, checked wiring, replaced the speaker, none of which solved the issue. I suggested replacing the headunit, which they refused claiming that the headunit 'may not be' defective. It's been difficult dealing with this problem since it's intermittent. Has anyone had the same problem? Were you able to have it fixed? What did they do to fix it? Which dealership? Thanks for your help.

a new A4! Problem solved. Many 2002's had that same issue of the driver side going out(mine didn't luckily). Do a search in that forum and that may help give you a hint of what it might be. Cause I can't remember. Good luck

If that's not it, it's definitely your head unit. Did you try playing with the balance/fader to see if anything is acting up?
I haven't heard of that problem happening to any guys in the B6 S4 forum. But try a search anyways... Good luck!
