DONT GET ME WRONG about the nor cal audi meet
some users have emailed me saying its a bad idea to race on sunrise, but we're not going out there to race! im totally sorry that i sent out that message. We're just going out there to cruise. Just to show others that audi's exist. Maybe this story will change the minds of the skepticals:
I was out at the sacramento raceway one hot wednesday evening. My friends were in the stands, watching as i roll up to the starting line. As the light turns green, i take off smoking the favorable mustang gt. When i got done and met up with my friends, they mentioned that everyone in the crowd was amazed and wondered what was undr the hood of that audi.
end of story. But that just shows that people dont respect audis for their performance, some people dont even know about their performance. : )
So yea, this is just a cruise, meet new people, check out other's cars. and to enjoy. Just come out, bring a friend, do some laps on sunrise with your fellow audians, eat some good food, check out the other audis in your area, meet new people, make new friends, show the world our existence, then go home happy. no big deal
The more audis the better, so spread the word.

It's not about racing... just Crusing along Sunrise is something that'll get you a ticket...
Citrus Heights will ticketsyou if you cross an area too many times, or even if you "look" like you are cruising.
I grew up in the area, and been pulled over for just going to the store in that area, because I was in the same intersection twice in a 10 minute period... I must be crusing. Never mind the fact that there was a Lucky's there, and I lived only a couple miles away, and it was the closest grocery store at the time.
Just a warning... Better to just have a "meet", if you want to cruise, one of the "drives" would be better (Point A to B, but not Point A to B to A or C to B to A if you know what I mean), but cruising up and down Sunrise is asking for trouble!

I would have to agree with ya...it would be cool to have a meet on a Sunday or something at...
Folsom lake or something...get a BBQ pit and have a nice big BBQ. Just coming from a bar...no racing...no crazy driving the other weekend took a left on Greenback and Sunrise (the middle of it all) got followed all the way to Antelope and I-80 just for the car and exhaust. LUCKILY, I didn't get pulled over!!! But they ARE strict. Plus I'll be in Shasta this weekend, so I can't be there...
