Driver Safety Schools

Hi All,
I've been doing some searches on "Driving school" and "safety schools" in the NorCal forum and all I found were the "performance" driving schools at the race tracks. I'm looking for one of those safety schools that teach on a slip pad and ways to drive in difficult conditions, not high performance driving (I might do that someday though, but not now). Something similar to this is what I'm looking for in the Bay Area. Anyone have ideas?

Thanks!

I was looking at their websites, the ACNU/Golden Gate Chapter websites, and all I could find is the "performance/safety" classes that talks about going on the track for laps.
If you have a link directly to the defensive/car control courses, could you post it here? The Laguna Seca website was stuck on this event thing last time I checked, and the Sears Point one didn't have the defensive classes...
Thanks!

<a href="http://russellracing.com/drivingcourses/highwaysurvival.php"> Russell</a>
<a href="http://skipbarber.com/driving_school/driving_school.aspx">Barber</a>
Russell's course is mostly off on the side, in an open area of the facility, off the actual track.
The Barber course is mostly in the parking lot.
Both offer some track time to cap off the courses. But they're both about car control, not racing.

It was the one day drive-your-own-car performance one (whatever it's called). We did a few drills of safety things, like avoidance (basically sudden lane changes), stopping your car from x speed within a certain distance, and driving one of their cars that simulated driving on ice/snow. There was also some track time, I'd probably say 50/50.
Not sure if that's what you're lookin for.

because the courses are taught by Jim Russell Racing..or Skip Barber Racing. Check out those websites for highway survival courses and the like.
