Gold Plus inclusionary contract for $2600 for a 2001 A8L with 30,000 miles. It is a 4 year 48,000 miles contract, from the purchase date. Can't seem to find an exclusionary contract for a car out of the original warranty. Deductible is $0 at dealer selling contract, $50 at other dealer or independent. This is best coverage I've found for my car. Platinum (exclusionary) only available for cars under original warranty.
How does this compare with what others have found? Is this JM&A/Fidelity contract a good one?
Thanks.

no idea what services/repairs the 4.2 needs during that time frame, but it seems pretty high if it covers it only to 78K miles. Seems like that's low enough mileage to have the warranty end before anything starts to fail.
I opted not to purchase a similar warranty for my S4 (quoted $2100-$2200). I'm now 2 years, and 40K miles out of warranty, and have spent approx $1500 in repairs (all in one job to repair multiple oil leaks and the timing belt/water pump). If I got the warranty, I'd be out $600-$700, so it turned out to be a good decision.

They've paid up without complaint on my car, for work done at the selling dealer(Carlsen).
Two thoughts:
There is a warranty broker who posts on the allroad forum, which might be worth a shot. Sorry, but I don't remember his screen name.
I trust you've negotiated the warranty price as if it were a used car. Pay 'em $250 over their cost.

Maybe give 'em a lowball offer - say, half of asking price. If they refuse it, volunteer that you want to settle at a fair number, such as $X over their cost. Work on that number and ask to see their cost sheet. You should be dealing with the dealer finance person, who won't be as shifty as a salesman (if you're lucky).
