Too bad...King City is speed trap hell....
I know hind sight is always 20/20. I have made that drive from Santa Barbara to Walnut Creek about 50 times...that trip is responsible for three of my tickets, not to mention several warnings, ranging from speeding to fix it to stop sign violations.
King City is a drive. But as Dan said, you should get a lawyer. Find one that specializes in motor vehicle code or someone who specializes in DUI. Don't ask why, but DUI attorneys know traffic laws very, very well (a good friend of mine is going through that right now). As far as a "suspended" license, it will be partially suspended in reality. I am sure they will allow you to drive to and from school as well as to and from work. Just no "pleasure" driving.
