Default Whats your budget? Most places in that area are not cheap, but not to outrageous.

Are you currently living in California. If so you are probably somewhat familiar with the cost of living.

I think Cupertino has the reputation for being a good school district, therefore housing is a bit more expensive than the surrounding "cities" (really tiny cities) like Sunnyvale and Santa Clara and Mountain View... but don't take my word on it since I don't have any children.

Great Asian food in Cupertino and the surrounding areas... Hwy 280 is sort of fun to drive as well. If you want curvey, you can take a quick drive down to Santa Cruz.

Default Any other info like closeness to nice areas,

Well, it is close to the Stevens Creek County Park which is great for hiking, biking, etc. Easily accessible to Skyline Blvd through Saratoga, which is a great drive. Interstate 280 allows easy access to San Jose (downtown is about 15 mins away in light traffic) and north to SF, about a hour away. I-280 is considered to be less congested than 101 or 880, the other major freeways in the area.

If you're not very familiar with Santa Clara County, Cupertino is expensive, higher than Sunnyvale and Mountain View, Campbell, etc. Mostly single family homes, some condos & apartment complexes. This is attributable to the school system which is considered to be good.

If you like Asian food, it's a good place to be, both in terms of restaurants and food shops, like the Ranch 99 Market, Tin Tin Supermarket, Marina Food.

I work in Cupertino, seems like a nice suburbian place. I like bigger cities though myself.
