I did it, you'll have fun.
On track, the closer your group stays together the faster you'll go. Follow the line the instructor does and your pace will follow (if you haven't done track days before). Remember to turn on the Dynamic mode after a lap or two of Comfort mode.
On the cone course, at least on my day, the course farther away from the reception area was bigger and faster - more fun to me. I'd say pick that one.
