land/wilderness areas are more lenient than the national parks.
Yosemite's dog policy sucks. i think only in the Valley on paved trails and i don't think they are allowed in the campsites. they do have a kennel in the valley.

They allow dogs, theres some sweet sites right on the water, theres litterally dozens of different camp sites and they are almost always not booked full

Just past the GG Bridge and I believe at the first or second turn-out on the road to the Marin Headlands. You walk down the road and camp overlooking the Golden Gate. It's small, it's first come first served I believe but a campground like this so close to a major city? It lies just west of the Marin anchorage side. Angel Island is great but is usually booked well in advance. There's Memorial Park in San Mateo County, I believe.

i learned the hard way last year.
they're allowed as long as they're chained at camp.
leashed and off camp = fine
off camp and off leash = misdemeanor
