I was thinking either at a nice quiet restaurant in SF, or maybe rent a place in Napa Valley. I think she likes the nightime romantic movielike proposals. Any ideas or suggestions for a restaurant or a room in Napa is appreciated. Lets keep it under $500.

to take my fiancee on a helicopter ride/tour around the Bay Area and to propose while going over or under the Golden Gate (dependent on the pilot). Costs for this was in the hundreds. I didn't look into it much further after she sorta guessed I was going to do it then. So I scrapped the idea.

I ended up asking the big question on the side of a scenic road overlooking Morro Bay Rock near Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (we met at CalPoly). Sucks that we couldn't see Morro Rock due to the fog, nevertheless it was romantic. It was around sunset and we were taking pictures of the view.
