I read somewhere it's up to the specific county. You might be able to inquire from the clerk

Default It's definitely possible, but it depends on your judge. You will have to request a trial, and ask
him ever so nicely to allow traffic school (if you're eligible).

Default Yeah so how does this work?...
I'm going to file for trial by written declaration but it is due by the court date. If they don't go for it, is the deadline for traffic school extended?? This is for a 1 point ticket.

The only downside is if you get convicted for both, it might be harder to request traffic school
