Default Mythbusters : LIDAR at night. "Myth" you say ? "Fact" says me

On way back from Tahoe. Lit-up by CHP officer parked on an overpass over I-80 near Auburn.

Default Applegate to Auburn is home to lots of radar/lidar/airplane CHP traps...

... they mix up the methods pretty good. Going slow through there is key. Newcastle substation tries to slow folks down before they stack up in the downhill winding esses through Auburn. Having lived in Auburn as a youngster, I've seen lots of accidents through town on 80... many fatal. Its probably good that they do slow people like me down. If CHP could all know how good Audi's handle, maybe they'd let us off.

Anyhow, this is all info you could have used last week. Sorry.
