Default Norcal tire prices vs internet ? (anyone done the full math?)

This is a "total" cost question for new tires:

Where is the cheapest place to buy tires, add CA sales tax, mounted and balanced in a South Bay store?

Is it cheaper to buy tires off the internet (cheaper and save on sales tax) but pay separately for a local store mounted/balanced service?

Example:

At discounttiredirect.com:
Hankook Ventus V4ES H105 $94/tire freeship
Falken Ziex ZE 512 $96/tire freeship
(i believe, no taxes)

At EdgeRacing.com:
Hankook $87/tire, ship for 4= $73.76 ground
Falken $85/tire, ship for 4= $66.72 ground
(i believe, no taxes)

At America's Tire/Discount Tire
http://www.discounttire.com
Hankook $100/tire internet price
Falken $110/tire internet price
(there is extra CA sales tax)

I read a searched thread that America's/Discount Tire will match Internet Prices. I was thinking of going to Americas Tires on Hamilton, Campbell CA to get a competitive quote.

Anyone else has cost saving ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Default America's/Discount is cheapest if you use the free rotation service . . .

and very convenient.

The cost includes mounting and balancing . . .

Do they sell Falkens and Hankooks?

Default Thanks Jeff, I just called America's Tires and... (m)

they quoted me:

Falkens @ $108/tire + $10 installation per tire
Out the door price (incl taxes) = $525.47

Hankook @ $103/tire + $10 installation per tire
Out the door price (incl taxes) = $503.80

The funny thing is that their prices are higher in-store than online. But, I could purchase it online and bring the tires to the store to have them install it. Not sure if I can save on sales tax or not...

Note: If you didnt buy from them, and brought yours into the store. They charge $24 install per tire.

Default Another Q: So where is the cheapest place to get tires installed ?

If America's tires charges $24 per tire (if you bought your own), is there a place in the South Bay area that charges less for tire installs (balanced/mounted/fitted) ?

Default I just print out the internet price and bring it to a local tire shop...

...who carries the same brand. Most places will match the price. It will be a little more expensive because of the tax, but when you add in shipping for the online order, it evens things up a bit. Besides, if there are any warranty problems, it's a lot easier to deal with a local shop.

Default Most "price matches" require you to have shipping charges.

I've even had Sears match Tire Rack, but they had to be shipped (just pick the cheapest, which for Tire Rack is cheap UPS Ground (ships from Reno... that's why).
