Default Off-topic: Where can i take a sushi class in the SF Bay Area?

My wife and I really want to go to a basic sushi class but a simple search on google did not reveal many places in the SF Bay Area that offer such classes.

Any ideas where i should look?
Any experience with such classes?

Thanks!

How is that Off-Topic? Anyway, I see classes offered all the time in community college mailers.

Default Try Home Chef in Walnut Creek, I know they offer classes....

or you could just go to your local neighborhood sushi bar and make friends with the chefs. I've done this and most of the time they offer all the advice/tips you need!

Default sur la table has classes, sometimes sushi - you can check the schedule

Not sure how good their classes are though.

Default Interesting, I never thought to take classes.I'm self-taught but no expert. Who's your local JC?

Look up their culinary classes. Might offer one on Sushi on the cheap. For instance if you were looking for a culinary class on tea, as my co-worker is teaching onr at MJC, you could learn about about tea in the same way; only it would be sushi.

sounds like a blast!

I think Draeger's Markets does cooking classes. They might have some sushi ones.

Not sure if you're still tracking, but I found out Whole Foods also offers classes. FYI.
