Quickest way to San Diego/LA area from Reno, take 395 or I-80 to I-5?

395 goes through a lot of small towns on the way... much better off on the interstates

Default If you do end up taking 395, last week there was a ton of CHP on it

All blowing radar. At least the stretch of the Hiway I was on..from Lee Vining to Bishop.

80 to 5. 395 is nothing but speed traps...35 mph speed traps until you get to Mammoth.
