Radar Detector Legal in CA?

I am thinking of getting a V1, I know it's illegal in some state. If I get pull over for some reason, will they cite me for having the radar detector?

To my knowledge, they are legal..laser jammers are not.

Legal. Won't get cited for having one, but chances of being let off w/ warning will likely drop.

make sure it's out of sight when/if you do get pulled over. it's respectful, or so i am told.

like cecil said, warning chances improve by bounds.

Make sure to pull it down to put it in the glove compartment with really quick, jerky movements,

just as the cop is walking up to the window.

You won't have to worry about the speeding ticket, then.

Except for Federal/Military property - so don't use it when visiting Travis AFB, Hunter Ligget, etc.
