Default Rector Motors Service Department.......What is the latest feedback regarding

Rector's response to customers? Anyone able to make an appointment? Which service advisor is giving good customer support? Has Audi of America intervened? Are the good techs still there?

Default They've got two new service writers. I've got an appointment with Carolyn

after I get back from Boston next week. I'll let you know how things go on 9/27. I've never dealt with the other new guy Mike, so in my opinion, they've got a whole new team.

I believe all the techs are there. At least for now. I try to only have Larry work on my car. At least that was my arrangement with Hector.

Default 2Turbos4Steve, too bad you're not in the East Bay anymore.

I've never had any problems at Negherbon Audi, now known as Audi of Oakland (same owner as Livermore Audi). I've been dealing with Service Writer Vince Fernandez for the last 3 years now; he's been great: always attentive to my concerns, and always goes out of his way to get the job done to my satisfaction. If you ever head over to Audi of Oakland for service, talk to Vince and tell him Andre Cinco highly recommended him. He'll take care of you.

Default hi andrec, thanks for the recommendation.

i live in sunnvyale, so i'm much further from oakland now. i'd definitly would do that if i were still living in EC, especially knowing that this is your 2nd audi.

things going ok? miss the turbos at all?

Default AoA intervened on my behalf at the recommendation of Carter Tyson

the previous service manager assisted me in getting my engine replaced through the AoA rep when my timing belt went early.

Not sure about the new Service Manager yet. I've been back to Rector picking up parts. They seem busier than before and no yelling irate customers yet.

Default Things are going great. Not a tough transition from the S4 to the A6 4.2.

I feel a lot more relaxed driving the 4.2. It cruises on the freeway effortlessly. I don't have that "rushed" sensation I used to get when rowing the gears in the S4. I haven't done much other than tint, Zender rear spoiler, H-sport sway bars, 18" Oettinger RZ wheels, and 15mm H&R spacers. Check out my picture poster for some more views.

The 4.2 is different, but in a good way. That, coupled with the fact that I'm not getting any younger, and my wife just gave birth to our second child, a daughter, two weeks ago, I'm feeling pretty comfortable. The 4.2 is a good sized car for my family of four.

Glad to see you're still around.

Regards,

Default car looks great!

and congrats to you and your family!

i'm sure the bigger car is making a significant difference for you. whenever i drive a full car of people around, i get reminded of how small the s4 actually is.

good luck with the new baby!
