Hi ya, I'm looking for some advice on where to get my 2003 Audi A4 serviced. I have always gone to Stevens Creek Audi because I'd heard from a fellow Audi owner that they are the best. Carlsen in Palo Alto would be much more convenient. Do you all have an opinion about whether or not it makes much of a difference? This is a regularly scheduled maintenance. The first one I'll have to pay for as the car has gone past its 50K free services. Any thoughts y'all have would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, LM

there are some who will swear on their mother that one is better then the other, then you have those who will make sure to give a piece of their mind to make sure no one will ever go to the one that did not give them a discount.
so that being said. i'd stick to where you purchased your car. i personally had an excellent experience with carlsen, but have never had a good experience at stevens creek (sales and service).

Carlsen didn't treat me like an idiot, and gave me an Audi for a loaner every time I had service. Stevens creek just gave me a hard time, tried their best to deny warranty coverage and occasionally some pos US rental car.
The only plus with SC is that if you do service there they give you a good deal on parts.

It hadn't occurred to me that I could go somewhere else. Should I?
I do have an extended warranty that I purchased, but of course that doesn't cover maintenance.
Thanks wnut and VR-Life for your input. Much appreciated!

they can drive me to work...
then again, only been in there three time.
day after I bought it...left it there for 3 weeks, then oil change at 5k and oil at 15k.
Great car after the three week ordeal.

Only regular maintenance items (like oil changes) or items not covered by warranty (such as brakes/suspension) can be worked on or modified outside an Audi dealer network.
