Default Good woman friend of mine owns a surf camp on the Pacific side.

I'll ask her.
Here's her place.<ul><li><a href="http://vistaguapa.com/">http://vistaguapa.com/</a</li></ul>

Default Here's her direct quote

It can be rainy, particularly in the mountains/forests. The beach isn't so bad. Kind of like Hawaii. Rains late afternoons/ evenings and middle of the night but morning/day is hot and sunny.

Default Awesome...

I joked to friends about how I'd get a job at a bank after graduation and quit and move to CR in about five years...let's see if it happens.

Default She lives in SF. Is in the financial world, bought it just for an investment.

But she surfs and is down there all the time. Has an Audi too.

Default I went there in July. It isn't too rainy to enjoy your time there, and it rained a ton. This was in

1996, when they had the really bad floods. We got out just before all hell broke loose. Places that we stayed at and rafted past just a week before were flooded and washed away. That being said, I didn't feel like it was raining all the time...some showers here and there, but not constant. The one thing about going down there during the rainy season is that the ocean isn't the pretty blue you'd expect due to the rain washing all the mud into the rivers, then out to sea. It is a fun place regardless....you'll have a great time.
