not sure if it's any less, but i ordered frames from framesdirect.com

excellent service, and prompt delivery.

the optometrist did not have my frame size in stock, FD had it and in the color i wanted, they shipped it before my optometrist could get it and for less then what my opt charged.

oh yeah...they have sunglasses too.

oh yeah...there's an article/blog entry somewhere floating online about one guy's experience.

iirc he become somewhat addicted to shopping for eyewear online because it was so much less.
