Default B6 A4 1.8T... Stuff have a tendency of not going to back to orignal shape when i tend to disturb...

them LOL. I wanna put the phatnoise in the trunk and have a wire coming to the HU. I'll even put it in the globebox if thats what i would need to do
but then i am afraid of opening things LOL.

Default makes no difference, trunk or glovebox, but the radio comes out easy..

...no disassembly of the dash required.

Default i see. But then the wire from the trunk has to go through the interior to get into the HU right?...

I have a DIY and in it Step 7 says.

Step#07
Route the harness wire under the
instrument panel. This will require careful
removal of the bottom of the dashboard.
Route carefully to ensure that
wire will not interfere with moving parts
under the dashboard. Secure with zip
ties as required.

So i am guessing I would have to remove some stuff from the dash.

if the car is not pre-wired for a CD changer, yes, then it is more involved.

Default I can see your hesitation then...

..if and when you decide you want to do it, either...

A) I can do it for you for some $$ compensation

or

B) we can tackle it together, as long as there's Heineken or Corona involved =)
