but you can also take NYST to 84 and hop across the hudson via newburgh-beacon bridge. that will take you onto 684 and iirc taconic too

I like the NYST, I've been driving it for years, I know where the cops is.

But taconic is 55, and NYST is 65.. and 55 is painfully slow... 70 is better, but in the pull over region.

Tha Taconic is the best road to enjoy the ride/handling of the car. But watch out for the Sunoco Specials and unmarked cars.

The NYST is just that a highway.. that can bog down with traffic. The alternat is to take the NYST to Rout 84.. cross the bridge and get on 684 to the Hutch down to Westchest. You miss all the lower NYST traffic and the TZ Bridge.
