One of the recruiters called me for the second time (as opposed to generic emails) earlier today saying she found my resume on Monster. The only thing I know about the company is what I've read on their website since then, so I was wondering if anyone's been in any of the showrooms (there are 4 on LI) or heard of anything about the company.
She said if it worked out that I joined the company, they would work me through the Management Training Program because of my sales and marketing track. How does that usually work? It wouldn't make much sense for them to invest time and money into training me if there weren't some kind of clause that forced me to stay with the company for a certain amount of time, right?
I'm nerve-racked at the thought of graduating early in December and having to get a jump on the job hunt now :-\ Thanks for any insight!

BlindsToGo

Not that thats neccesarily a bad thing, but is it what you want to do?
Do you like retail?
Do you like blinds?
enjoy talking about window sizes, colors and patterns?
I remember coming across their ads on job sites for a while and it always annoyed me that they tried to sell their positions as "management" when its not.
So dont focus on there claim for "management opptys"' ... those are generally bs. you'll be workin the counter in a retail location.
just my .02

What kind of job are you looking for though? What will your degree be? I might be able to give you some insight should you want it depending on the road you are taking.

They're always the type of jobs I would never consider in a half decent job market... or roles that pay 1/3 to 1/2 what I'm used to making
They're always employers out there taking advantage of the economy looking for over qualified cheap labor thinking they can pay crap..
