Any suggestion for last minute car rentals in NYC?

Since my car is hiding behind a tree until I can justify owning a car in the city, I have an urge to rent something fun for the weekend, so I'm not looking for a "Buick LeSaber or Something Similar." Anyone have any advice?

IN nyc? you dont need a car IN nyc!

for a fun drive out of nyc get a mini from zipcar and beat the **** out of it...or a 325i

I didn't realize Zip Car was in the city yet

Yeah, I took my car off of the road because I don't need it. Thinking it would be nice to make a blast out of here. The Mini idea sounds good.

most 24 hr test drives require a firm deal and credit approval before you can walk with keys

I doubt you can do it last minute, but i've heard you can rent curtesy cars from dealers

Call em up and see if you can wheasel your way into a new B7 for $80/day. If they cant do it, just tell them you cant stand to drive anything other than an audi while in the city on business where can you go to rent one.
