Anyone have a spring compressor?
coilover install this weekend
autozone has some sketchy one that looks like it wont work. If anyone has one or knows where I could get one just for this weekend let me know.

Don't use the autozone one....
it doesn't work out well...

last time i did a suspension we bought a crappy one that had u-bolts
that went around the spring...it wasnt perfect and coulda slipped but the ubolts would have at least kept the spring from flying out.

Be very, very cautious with the compressor...
...try and get a Heavy Duty one.
My friend, a long time 'backyard mechanic', used a "cheap one" and learned the lesson the hard way many years ago. The metal was cheap, and the head of the compressor snapped off when he was loading the spring into the car. Caught him in the face. His nose is a bad remembrance of that event.

I still can't believe you're still with us today.
I think I would have hooked that contraption with a fishing pole and dropped it in a lake rather than snapping pics, let alone screwing with it to get it apart and start over!
