I know damn near EVERY mechanic in Lower Westchester. I ran a parts warehouse for a LOOOONG time. Still have the tax id # and discounts too. : ) Email me at jaevee@gmail.com If its routine maintenance I can send you soemwhere trustworthy with good rates. If its some real VW/Audi **** I can tell you the good specialists. The ones who paid their bills on time and the ones who were having cars shipped form all over the damn country for some of these guys to work on. And you can basically pick a town and I'll know a good stand-up mechanic there. Im in yonkers.
P.S. Marbledale Rd. in Eastchester/Tuckahoe whatever Has GREAT mechanics on it.. Harpo is great.. porsche vw guy. But you can not count RC out. Ray is the man. VW AUDI Chevy whatever. great guy patient. honest blah blah.. Theyve all worked on my cars. all gave advice. I'd love to return even a small favor. Theres some great guys in new rochelle. Mamaroneck etc.

See thats where I dont get it. I used to hear that on the Datsun forums (former 240z owner ) . They would say I need a Datsun specialist. Ummm Datsuns are one of the easiest cars int he world to work on barring the S.U. Carbs. You dont need a VW Audi specialist for a bearing and stuff like that. You just paid an extra $10-30 an hour. If it helps you sleep better fine. If you have $$ like that fine. I myself am a 6 figure a year man and STILL spend time looking for deals.

Ok. Ray from RC Auto is very good. Hes on Marbledale Rd. In Eastchester.
He is next door to Harpo. VW/Porsche guy. He is very good to. Not sure if you can get to see him or not. He has worked on my datsun before too though so hes no Euro snob or anything. Its just I see some gorgeous vintage porsches in there along with new 911 turbos etc. But $$ is money and hes REAL cool.
Yonkers I dont know. I delivered mainly to New Rochelle, Marmaroneck, Eastchester etc.
There is CS or C & S or soemthing in Mamaroneck. SOLID VW/Audi guy too. Hes on that lsit of indy Audi mechanics I can never find. FROM Germany. Real cool and patient with 20 year old parts delivery guys picking his brain about old beat up GTI's Etc. (ME) He fixed my GTI once for me too. At a seriously good price. He coulda ripped me off and he didnt. I woulda never known.
I personally am taking my Audi to North Ave. Getty on North Ave. In New Rochelle. Chris works on my cars. We haven't done anything YET to this car. Thanks god. But we're doing my timing belt soon. That kid is like House for cars. You know the medical show? Bring in some crazy thing and he WILL figure it out. Hes young but his father is a serious auto-genius. So he learned well. It's a risky thing recemmending mechanics to people. But I feel confident in all of these guys. But please. If anything should happen DO NOT BALME ME. You can post all you want. If you keep it to the facts. Alot of people dont understand alot of things sometimes. Im sure weve all had complaints from people at our jobs who just didnt get how things worked. So basically don't be a dick ; ) Good luck, and have fun. And you dont have to say you know me. (Joe Z or Joe from Mavis, Big A etc) You can if you think it will help. but I would never ask any of these guys for favors due to refferals. They earned the good words from me the hard way.
